Stines Creek Trailhead, Castle Rocks State Park

I had a lot of fun. Good place to take your mind off things.

What a hidden little Oasis is out there. Idaho's flat farm deserts can be deceiving there's little treasures just like Castle Rock state park the trails are well marked and it's a fun area to spend it alone on your mountain bike or with your family and friends on a camp out.

Either you are really lost or you really want to go here, this out of the way state park is short detour off the main road on the way to City of Rocks Preserve. It is well worth the stop for a hike out into the rocks or to enjoy the sunrise lighting up the mountainside with it's golden glow. There are a number of paths form the Trailhead or you can easily go off and just explore through the sagebrush. This spot will give you a sneak peek on what you may see at City of Rocks.

The rocks are awesome, but it's 40+ miles out of the way. Check out if you have time.
