My husband went in for surgery after having them reschedule 3 times. The receptionist chastised us for getting out of our car and standing by the door waiting for someone to either answer our call or open door for us. She acted like we had a disease and an inconvenience to her. My husband said that I had a work meeting and she snapped that he was told he needed someone there the whole time (which was not true. He was told I could come back). After the consult (the dr was actually friendly and knowledgeable), the receptionist came back in to get signatures and informed my husband she needed the $350+ for the first payment and would not take credit cards and my husband said he was unaware of it. She argued with him, basically calling him a liar. Saying she has notes of the phone call and had been doing her job for 15 years and knows what she says. When we were pretty much told to leave without the surgery, she informed us that she would help us reschedule. My husband told her no as we walked towards the door she yelled for us to wait and that she would get the door for us. We we extremely upset that someone would treat a patient like that after they had made him suffer for more than 1 month. He went to a dentist afterwards and was told he has a major infection for waiting so long.
