The Old Nogales Courthouse is currently home to Cochise College Nogales Center however, the College is moving to its new Facility beginning the week of August 12th, 2013. The building has 3 floors and is also home to the Arizona Rangers Museum. The building has had a minor remodel to due the building being vacant for some time and Cochise College invested in the project and made the renovations. The first floor is a series of rooms and in its center is the original Law Library. The library contains books from the turn of the century until the 1970's. The books are those containing laws, census reports and other legal and governmaental publications to also include all of the states of the period. The building exhibits turn of the century architecture and the original wood floor still remains on the building's second floor. The overall appearance is quite nice and a chandelier hangs from the ceiling in the dome to just above the second floor. The third floor is a rotunda design and at the west of the floor is a room with large windows that give a nice view of the surrounding area. The only area of the Building in need of repair is in the main courtroom located at the north of the building. It sits slightly higher than the second floor and has suffered extensive water damage due to holes in the roof. The original bench remains intact and has suffered water damage as well. It is hoped, the City of Nogales will invest resources into the preservation of this extraordinary landmark.nInteresting Fact: Lady Justice sits atop of the structure and is not blindfolded.nThe building was constructed in 1904.nThe Building is on Court St. but actually faces west on Morley Ave.nMorley Avenue is the Juan Bautista de Anza Trail
