The staff at Mountain Land Physical Therapy - West Layton Clinic are an amazing group to work with. After therapy on my first knee replacement, I was excited to get back into therapy after my second knee had been replaced. They helped me through the rough times of bending and stretching (and scraping) but I could not have progressed without all of them working together to get me walking straight. I recommend them to anyone thinking of therapy as strengthening after surgery or accident.

Sadly, my husband and I have been here a few times. We're just not ready to quit being young. ;-) Staff is awesome. Friendly and knowledgeable. They know what they are doing. Nylin Johnson is our favorite Therapist. He real knows the body and how to heal it. He's been around a long time and has seen anything you can throw at him. Give them a try. You won't be disappointed.

Robert Baden-Powell, the Founder of the World Wide Scouting Movement, and Chief Scout of the World stated the following: “By making each [person] feel that he [or she] is a responsible being, and responsible therefore for the care of his body and health; that it is part of his duty to God to develop his body to the best extent. By so doing, [the staff at the West Layton Office and their patients] have it in [their] power to do a work of [personal, familial and] national value.” (B.-P.’s Outlook, “Health,” January 1931.) The staff and professionals at Mountain Land Physical Therapy (West Layton) have provided me with assistance that has enabled me to make incremental progress towards this goal. Three are addressed below. First, whether done by Dr. Evan Johnson or other competent physical therapists in the facility, care has been taken to itemize and design a plan to improve all of the needs that have arisen. Assistant physical therapists and related staff have been able to make sure the exercise aspects of the program are followed in the correct manner. Significant to me, the availability and willingness of professional physical therapists to listen to my concerns regarding any part of my physical therapy – even offering to consult on the phone if an after-hours crisis arises – is unusual if not extraordinary. Second, the necessary time is spent to ensure that myself, my wife and other caregivers understand them home exercises and other aspects of the therapy suitable for practicing at home. While I am fortunate to have a trained nursing assistant on a regular basis to facilitate completion of the recommendations, based on previous experience, the assignment of “homework” has been adapted to my weekly and daily progress so I am able to maximize the benefit of physical therapy. Third, even though I had received services funded by Medicare, I had failed to notify the offices of my supplemental insurance. The failure to include the insurance resulted in what for my family was a significant expense. I had determined not to return for services until we were able to pay all of the outstanding amount. I was called and invited to continue needed services; furthermore, when I provided staff with the previously unreported supplemental insurance, they obtained a refund for us from the insurance company for what we had paid unnecessarily. We were pleased to use these funds to purchase additional tools and means to manage my care at home. I note particular gratitude for the assistance of Dr. Nylin Johnson through 2019. Corporate duties have taken him away from his three decades of clinical work; nonetheless, his past training of staff and continued monitoring and visiting the West Layton facility, has allowed patients like myself to continue to receive focused, personal attention and application of the most recent techniques that demonstrate adherence to the highest standards of care. By seeing that this continues to occur, I have the greatest opportunity to increase my faith to experience the repair of my Divinely created body, and with God’s assistance, be able to share the incremental success in reestablishing health that has eluded me at present February 4, 2020. Friendly, helpful staff. Hands on therapy with many advanced modalities. Work with knowledgeable aids and therapists every visit. Clean, family friendly atmosphere. Easy parking. Invested therapists who care and want patients to improve and return to higher levels of activity. Very accommodating to my schedule.

Where to begin!! So genuinely nice, professional, talented, experienced, patient, positive, supportive, fun, and just a great "team"!! No matter who you work with for any part of your therapy, you want these guys getting you back to your best...maybe even better than before you needed them! Don't check anywhere else to compare, you're just wasting time back to good health. Did I mention they're super fun?!! HIGHLY recommended!
