I have been hiking this creek since 1972. It has always been my favorite trail with tons of history and great memories for me. Only a few miles up from Rio Rico is the beautiful Patagonia lake and to the east of the lake it even gets better! The biggest grouping of cottonwood trees (Alamo) in the world I've been told and so much wildlife, you will never get to see it all. It changes a little bit just about every year due to the monsoons.
