Lahontan State Recreation Area

Very popular in the summer. Very quiet during the winter months. We had the entire beach to ourselves. Facilities were closed.

Was a beautiful Saturday afternoon!! Quite a few people camping along the beach, people jet skiing and paddle boarding, no one at the day use area!! There's actually water in the lake!! Thank you

Low water. Not many fish. overcrowded. No Crawfish, but inexpensive so that counts for something these days.

Can't swim in the water due to algae bloom but other then that is is amazing. No one else around just you and nature. However if you have small pets there are coyotes and owls around. We have seen both of these. So be careful with your small pets. Also they have showers you can use and trash bins easy to reach all in all a beautiful place to camp in!

Quick get away for Reno residents. Inexpensive gas just outside park.
