I have been so grateful for Dr. Knowles & Nurse practitioner Kara Cole. They are both very knowledgeable, listen thoughtfully & answer any & all concerns. I would highly recommend, although the receptionist at the rheumatologist check-in is very rude - it is separate from the main check-in. All other staff have been very professional & wonderful! Sadly our new insurance won't cover the office visit anymore, so now I have to try to find another one! ud83dude22

It has been a while since I saw Knowles. I feel this review is still very important for people who are considering seeing her. I have an extensive medical history and was sent here because my neurologist said he suspected I had lupus and RA which was terrifying. I called several times to make sure that all of my medical records were in her office before my visit which took months to get in to. She comes in, doesn't make eye contact, mumbles her name and tells me she doesn't have my records even though I had confirmed with her office that they were there. She would not even take the time to go get them. She rushed through the appointment, wouldn't even let me discuss my symptoms and was cold. Then she proceeded to order all of the same tests I had already taken and were in my records. After a years worth of testing with other doctors in anticipation of this visit with Knowles and waiting several months to get in to her I left defeated. I walked out of there, ripped up her labs and never went back. I grew up in Carson and it has grown tremendously in the last 10 years. It is time for Carson City to get rid of doctors like this and bring in compassionate, well educated medical professionals.

Dr. Knowles is exceptional, knowledgeable, detail oriented. Testament to her expertise and respect from her peers are the high compliments I have heard about her from three other doctors that I am a patient.

Dr. Knowles knows what she's doing. She listens well to her patients and is responsive to their needs. She doesn't go for overdosing medications. Her schedule is full since none of her patients would ever willing leave her care.
