Excellent grocery store for the area. Decent selection on food. Would highly suggest. Bathrooms are always clean. We drive in and this is our one stop shop when we are needing groceries. Typical Kroger family grocery store, only a few uniquely local things.

Every time I go in there either the are empty or the produce is all gone. They never have Basil, ever. They got rid of a bunch of checkout lanes and put self checkout there instead. Now when I go in there is usually on two people checking people out and half the self check outs are closed. there is always a huge line for both and this is at the busiest times of the day. I try to avoid it now. Miserable experience.

I have a lot to say.nnFirst of all, I work late. I don't leave work until maybe 8:15. Smith's has decided to start randomly locking one side of the doors at 8 pm. It's not at all consistent and there's no telling when it's going to happen. You need cat litter? Sorry, tonight they decided you need to walk across the store twice just for that.nnSecondly, they never, ever have enough lanes open. Never. I have not gone in there in the past three or four months and not had to wait in a line to checkout.nnI'm fed up with them being inconvenient and often not very nice about it. I think I'll look elsewhere for my daily shopping needs.

I called Smith's and waited 10 minutes and Nobody picked up the phone. Called again and waited 5 minutes and Nobody picked up. ud83dude21

It is not surprising that this store overprices as so do other stores at Los Alamos, but it is surprising that the staff is also rude. Really hope other grocery stores (Costco, Sam's Club, etc) can be here. Avoid Smith's as much as you can, to make your purchase worth your money and time.
