Wow. This little gem is adorable with authentic Mexican food from central Mexico. The flavors and presentation are uniquely their own and super delicious. I enjoyed the friendly and engaging family-run feel. The environment is stunning and quaint with a large 2-story room that was once an outdoor patio, brick floors and large wooden staircases, complete with in-ground trees and the dappled sunlight of greenhouse windows shining through their leaves.

First time eating here and I will definitely be back! I think this is my new favorite place to stop for food in Espanola. It was all delicious and the staff were extremely friendly and attentive. Clean and quiet with tasty food and good service.

Beautiful venue, delicious food. Exceptional staff, and cold beer! Wish they offered IPA. Be sure to stop here and eat next time you are in the area!

Wife and I had the 3 chicken enchiladas, son had the 3 street taco dish.nNote the half-full pink drink? That is a simple watermelon cooler, non-alocoholic. I had no idea something so simple could be so refreshing. But, it was. 3 re-fills later....nOther photos: Note the design and architecture of this place. I'll bet pre-COVID, this place could pack 2-300 people. I mean, look at the bar photo - that all wood bar is 40' long. It's such a shame the owners here have to be constrained with such a beautiful and capable place. Anyway, the food was authentic and delicious. Not designed to be filling, just excellent.nI highly recommend LA Fonda del Sol!

My new favorite place for Mexican food in Española! Friendly, patient lady took our order in the lobby. She let us walk around and told us some of the story of the building. The food was plentiful and delicious. We felt like museum guests and she was our tour guide and there was a banquet at the end. We ate outside due to the pandemic, loved the food and attention.
