HOPEWELL LAKE CAMPGROUND

The place is nice but not kept in great conditions. The bathrooms were dirty and the trash hadnt been emptied in a while. Stayed 2 weeks ago in site 6, there were a few rats around.

Didn't stay here. Drove through. Looked nice. Used the put toilet and filled my water. Decent place. The lake area was kind of nasty though. Not well kept.

We spent 3 nights recently and although the surroundings are beautiful, the fishing was horrible. The lake is full of moss and no one was catching anything. On the second night we were there the Host put up a handwritten sign that water would cost $1.00 a gallon and if you dumped your trash in the bin it was an additional $10.00. We were under the impression that the $20.00 campground fee covered all amenities especially when the water was turned off for the durationof our stay. Restrooms were dirty and fly infested. Next time we visit that area we will be camping further up in USFS area.

Nice campground with somewhat private spaces. Bathroom was out of order and other bathroom had no toilet paper for 2 days. Nearby lake is great for fishing but not for swimming.

It was a good camping trip except the lake wasn't very good for fishing !
