Bottomless Lakes State Park

4 stars only because when we arrived the ranger was putting up the sign for no camping. This area is beautiful and breath taking. Just a little out of Roswell. Many little mini lakes surrounded reddish brown and grey rock face. We almost had the park to ourselves. Many vault toilets at many locations in the park. We will be back.

One of the best lake areas in New Mexico. Incredibly clean water, great camping and day use spots right on the lake, very clean and well maintained. It’s a true New Mexico treasure...one word of warning though; it gets very hot in the summer but perfect in spring and fall.

Great RV sites, very clean & quiet park. Camp Host Kevin was very helpful & kind. They care about your visit and will look after your site. Dogs allowed, but be careful for the ‘goat head’ burrs/prickles in the ground. Check your pup’s paws ud83dudc3e

We happened upon this driving thru New Mexico on the way to Roswell. Decided to go take a look as a camping option. WOW! What a hidden gem! Scenic road, changes in elevation, water, cliffs, wildlife and a beautiful campgrounds with swimming and picnic area. Take the time to drive this loop down to the lake area. You won’t regret it!
