We fueled our car at this particular gas station in January 2021. Upon leaving the check engine light of the vehicle came on and the car started making sounds and had trouble keeping up speed. The vehicle would not start properly and was taken to a reputable repair shop in town. The diagnosis was “bad gas”. We had to take it twice and accrued a bill of several hundred dollars. After the repairs and the “bad gas” being eliminated from the tank the car drives fine now. The vehicle had received its’ proper inspection at the end of November 2020 for safe winter driving and no problems were reported. Proof of purchase of the gas and repair bills are available. The division of Oil and Safety in Denver were notified, but were not able to collect samples until weeks later. Safeway headquarters were informed about the incident and it was forwarded to their insurance company with no resolution to this date. It does not look like we will be compensated for this incident or even met half-way. Another customer we know of, had the same experience during this time frame. We have been Safeway customers/club card members for over twenty years without incident, but will take our business elsewhere from now on.

We stop here for gas since it is so convenient. They also offer fuel points for shopping in the main store.

I am extremely happy with how kind the people who work at this gas station are. I was trying to put air into a tire that was actually damaged and I got stuck there with a flat. I forgot my cell phone and Philip offered to let me use the phone, I couldn’t think of a signal number to call so I asked if I could leave my car there while I walked home to get help. My roommate and I came back to change my tire, but alas I didn’t have the best tools for the job. I asked Philip if I could leave my car overnight and come back the next day to fix the flat. He was totally okay with that and was very emphatic to my situation. The next day I had a friend help me out and when we got there I noticed someone put a cone near my car to make sure people could see it in the snow. We were able to fix the tire quickly. We went in to say thank you to Brian and found out he was the one who placed the cone near my car. I can’t say enough thank yous to Brian and Philip! I really appericaired all the support, generosity, and empathy these two offered.
