Unable over a two year period to get bedbugs out of my apartment, unwilling to discuss what their strategy is, total stonewall. Say their contract precludes them from discussing this with tenants. Welp. After two years of misery, this tenant is giving up on A-Pro and I recommend you try someone a little less dogmatic

DO NOT TRUST THESE DODGY EXTERMINATORS!nnThey’re friendly guys, but incompetent and dishonest. They work for the landlord and not for you.nnI live in a condo building called AVA 55 Ninth which has lots of garbage-picking Section 8 tenants that cause infestations. A-Pro Pest Control has an arrangement with the management. They downplay the situation and do the bare minimum.nnThey lied to me about the source and severity of the cockroach infestation in our apartment so that we wouldn’t break our lease. I was later told, off record, that of course the roaches came from my squalid neighbors.
Called this place every single day for a week, multiple times a day and only got an answer once. Asked multiple times and left multiple messages to be called back and was never contacted
This company is in the pockets of big apartment corporates. They only do what management asks of them to keep their contracts and the management happy. Even when, as experts, they know that the practices they are employing are not the most thorough and that there are better ways to get the job done, they just do the bare minimum, so apartment management on paper can claim that the problems have been addressed, and can cut costs. By not doing a thorough job, they also ensure the need for them to be recalled, again and again, thus ensuring long contracts. Dishonest and very shady practices.
