A friend asked me to find a local bar in La Mesa that was comfortable and had a decent menu. We didn't want loud pool tables and people smoking outside. I found the Hills. It's a comfortable and welcoming place with a very good bar food and drink menu and nice atmosphere. I've been there twice in the last month and a third friend joined us the last time. She is not a bar person but loved it too. The Hills feels like a modern Cheers with a mix of ages and a laid back attitude. A great find.

The drinks here are great. Big variety of beer. Food is good. Hand the small cheeseburgers and they were amazing. The garlic fries are bomb. What's best about this place is the atmosphere. If you're looking for a happy hour place with a cool vibe look no further. Plenty of outdoor seating.

Plenty of outside seating, with heaters!nHad burger sliders and onion rings. Both were tasty, the sliders are served on hawaiian sweet rolls! It is bar food but def good bar food. Nice selection of beers. Been here before, def going back. Wait staff was great..Thank You Jade ud83dude04

Top notch service. Big portions of wonderful food. Respectable variety of beer and unique mixed drinks. Great spot to be social with a small group.

This place was great. the drinks were reasonably priced, the food was delicious and the bar tenders made good drinks. I'm coming back again soon
