I find Oak Street Health to be the perfect place for my health needs. Initially, my insurance coverage was reviewed, which gave me the confidence that I was with the correct plan. Since then, my checkups have been thorough. I've never had to wait for very long; the waiting room offers coffee, snacks, tv. Having blood work done right at the facility is such a convenience. The staff has always been professional and friendly. Oak Street, pre-Covid had many activities that people could participate in. During Covid, I've received many check-in phone calls to see how I'm doing. Love Oak Street! Thank you for taking great care of me!

My Mom is fighting for her life right now. Seems like Dr Nick doesn't know about drug interactions. My Mom is on a medication that clearly states she can't take ibuprofen because of high doses of Methotrexate. Well her stomach linging is fried and her sodium levels are life threatening low. We are praying she makes it thru this.

Melissa Ferdinandi, NP, and the staff in the Warwick RI office truly understand the needs and realities of geriatric patients. All of their patients are on Medicare (and maybe Medicaid?). They specialize in serving seniors and seem to understand their specific needs.nnI worked for years in nursing homes and assisted living communities. So many times I was left scratching my head and wondering how some doctors didn’t seem to have a clue. At some point doctors need to accept the realities of aging and that not everything is “fixable”. Simply acknowledge the reality and become a team with your patients and make things the best as can reasonably be expected.nnFrom my first visit I knew I had joined a realistic team. Yes, I need to get more exercise. Yes, I need to now be mindful of my cholesterol. Melissa counseled me on diet and exercise. She has allowed me 4 months to get my cholesterol under control and start a walking program. If successful I won’t have to take medication. (And I may even lose a few pounds.). She didn’t just write a prescription and send me on my way. I really believe I can do this, because Melissa believes it too.nnNope, for the doubters out there, I don’t work for Oak Street!nnElizabeth G.

I have had some good experiences with them but also there seems to be a lack of communication
