Very cautious about Covid-19, there is an employee at the main entrance checking temperature and asking for reason of visit. It is very professional and courteous. Needed to get blood work done and lab was very efficient. The staff at lab was kind and courteous. I would go back to this location of Cleveland Clinic again for blood work, it was a good experience. The only drawback is parking. Parking is a bit congested at main entrance, but the have a covered drop off and pick up area good for handicapped individuals.
I had two tests done recently at Medina General Hospital. I had great experiences at both tests. The first test was a mammogram. A shout out to Shannon for doing a super job. She was professional, efficient and very kind and sweet as well. My MRI went just as smoothly with quick service and also very professional.
AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!nHonestly this was the second horrible experience at this facility. The first was in January when I went in for a pre-natal appointment and they refused to do an ultrasound to find out how far along I was because they wouldn’t see anything anyways, even though I was around 8 weeks. Also the doctor was horribly unprofessional, so I switched practices. On Saturday, I had to take my boyfriend to the ER because he had a very painful abscess on his leg. After waiting for almost an hour in a completely dead ER they finally took him back. Nurses and clerical workers were constantly opening his door without knocking looking for the doctor. The doctor and nurses constantly referred to medical equipment as “thingies”. When they went to numb the area the pain was too great and he asked to be partially sedated. Instead of just talking about the risks the doctor straight up said it was a more involved procedure that he did not want to do, when we said we wanted to do it anyway the nurse Ashley came in and once again said that it was way more involved and that basically they didn’t want to do it. When we insisted it was the only way she let out a huge annoyed sigh, rolled her eyes and said “I guess I have to find some one to put in an IV” and then stormed out of the room. I expressed my concern with their attitude, specifically hers and I was blown off. She continued to be extremely rude to me. We now have to make a visit to a different ER since the incision is infected and I’m not convinced it wasn’t done on purpose. I also heard them tell a patient’s father that they probably wouldn’t be able to keep her on a pink slip even though she openly said she tried to harm herself by taking 2 bottles of pills. Honestly we will never return to the facility and I’m truly disappointed that Cleveland Clinic allows this hospital to be run like this as I’ve never had a problem like this else where.
Everytime I have been to Medina Hospital/Cleveland Clinic all have been very good. Friendly, compassionate and knowledgeable staff. Ive had a kidney stone, MRI, blood tests, bad gash in my leg and a stress test. Recommend highly.
The professionalism, care, and compassion I experienced during my stay at this facility were second to none. I went to the emergency room there in July for a wound on my leg that would not heal. It had gotten extremely painful and would not heal because of my diabetes.nEven without an ability to pay, no insurance, I was admitted due to the seriousness of my condition.nDuring the four days I was there, I was cared for by some of the kindest and most compassionate nurses in my experience. I would especially like to mention the 3rd floor nurses; Lisa, Courtney, and two others whose names have escaped me to my deepest regret...nALL were so VERY good to me.
