Chris (owner) always takes excellent care of our family when we visit. The cottages are a truly relaxing place to experience. Plenty of common area for a bonfire, lovely pool area, great views of the lake, comfy/clean rooms, and excellent service always. I love staying at the cottages.
Owner (Chris) seemed like a nice man when we initially spoke with him in July 2017. Stopped by to look around at the cottages— great atmosphere, ammenities, and family environment. Chris told my fiancé and I that he would be willing to rent all cottages out for our October 2018 wedding.nnThis is where the problems occurred. We called again in March 2018 (2 times), didn’t hear anything. Emailed in April 2018 and called again— didn’t hear anything. Waited until after Memorial Day in case they were out of town—still nothing. Finally (after another call) Chris called back and said he would call within the week to give us rates.. it is now mid-June and he is JUST NOW telling us that he will not open the cottages up for the wedding. Leaving us scrambling to find accommodations for family coming from out of town.nnOverall, not impressed. The LEAST Chris could’ve done was tell us from the beginning instead of giving us the runaround.
Cottage smelled like mold and owners not very hospitable. Not a good family stay. Heated pool was small but nice and view of the lake was breathtaking!
Nice people , great place to watch the sunset !
