New Berlin Library

Great staff. They are helpful with everything, but they are also good at recommending great authors. They also have a very well stocked children's area with crafts.

Very nice library. Great book selection for adults and kids! Also, video rentals. My kids love the craft table they have!! Would highly recommend this library.

I was in New Berlin, NY today on business. I found myself in a situation where I needed to be able to print an email. So I went to the New Berlin library and asked if I might be able to print an email. They told me that only if I have a library card in the Multi County area. I told them I was from Oneonta and that I was not sure if that one time perhaps I had a library card. They looked my name up in the system and they informed me that I owed $55 in books that they claim were not returned to the Oneonta NY library back in 2004. Yes 2004! Because I supposedly owed this money from 13 years ago they were unwilling to help a traveler in need print a three page PDF from an email. They actually turned me away, even though I was willing to pay for the printing. They left me in a real bind.nnWhile the library was unhelpful, I was fortunate to find an insurance company in town called Gates Cole insurance which was more than happy to help. They gladly printed my email attachment so that I could do the business I was in new Berlin to do. I offered to pay for those three pages they printed but they said paying them for copies was not necessary. I am grateful for Gates Cole and their professionalism. They really saved the day for me after my horrible experience at the library.
