I think Ranch 99 is fantastic. In full disclosure I'm not Asian, I'm a middle aged white guy so my experience with Asian supermarkets is somewhat limited, but I think the selection is unbelievable. The produce section is extensive and has incredible variety as does the meat and seafood section. Condiments, canned foods, noodles, dried items, dumplings are all in extensive variety. Again, I'm not Asian, but I think you'd be hard pressed to find a more varied selection of Asian foods.

Good Chinese or African style food. Great prices

Asian grocery with a small selection of the various types of supplies you may need. It's not too packed with variety but it does the job on basics. Also has a small bakery and food court. Too close to end of day and they put all the veggies away. Fresh fish and some sliced meats.

It's always nice to have a new restaurant in town, especially the first of its kind in the neighborhood.nnPrice: not too outrageously expensive, compared to downtownnnFood: plenty of choices for both bbq and hotpotnnLikes: picking both bbq and hotpot can be overwhelming to eat (too many things to micromanage) but the waiters are always helping to do the grilling for you so you always feel in control.nnOne advice: be prepared to wait on weekend night because it gets very crowded and they do not take reservation over the phone (only in person). Go around 630pm on Saturday night to minimize wait time

Good collection of fresh produce. They keep pretty much everything that an Indian family would need to cook at home. Like Turai (Ridge gourd), Lauki (Bottle gourd), Karela (Bitter melon), Bhindi (Okra), Curry leaves etc.nnAwesome spread of fresh fish (more than 15 varieties). They even get Pomfret from India. Frozen of course.nnI have never seen Sona Masoori rice there, but there's multiple brands for basmati rice and different kind of lentils.nnThey have an amazing bakery. Their breads and cakes are the best part. And one can purchase them with the reward coupons awarded from the grocery billing.nnOverall, they have almost everything required for weekly shopping and is much cheaper than most of the big chains as well as the Indian stores around Journal Square.nnOn the down side, I have noticed that their produce does not last as long as that from their competition.
