I posted a review on here over a year ago and I can't seem to update that one or delete it. So I'm writing a new one. Most likely due to the fact that my old last name is under my last review. Since I wrote that review I have to say that Father McKenzie is now preaching Pope Francis' message of God's Love & Mercy so I've given it another star. Also, I can't speak for feeling welcomed by the people that only go on weekends, but the people who regularly go to weekday mass and are involved that way are a lot more welcoming and friendly then the group I was writing about in the past. It's still very conservative, don't get me wrong, but I think the message of God's love and mercy is getting through to people. So now I feel comfortable going there again.

If you are ultra-conservative you will feel comfortable here. If you have been estranged from the Catholic church for a while due to various reasons, you will not feel comfortable here. Father Mackenzie does not preach Pope francis's message of Love, mercy, and acceptance. I had been going there for 2 years. The former priests that was there was very accepting but we got a new priest about a year ago and I gave it a chance but I'm very post-vatican II in my faith and most of the parishioners there are very pre Vatican II.
