This is an interesting area with several historical sites, next to the Canaan Public Beach. This former school house, now a museum claims to be the first secondary school in the country to admit African American children. This entire area is seethed in early colonial era architecture. Yes, even the Methodist church is a beautiful building, though I didn’t attend services. This area is certainly a historic area tucked away in an area that if you didn’t know to travel, many would never see.
Great place to a dinner every Wednesday night.

Enfield Methodistt Church is a very welcoming congregation and open to everyone. Community suppers every Wed. open to the public.
