Approximately 15 years ago I hired Bratcher electric to install a Briggs & Stratton gas generator at my house. They have performed routine annual maintenance and service ever since. They are professional, knowledgeable and courteous.

Mike came out to my home on June 25, reviewed the work and noted that it would need a Sylvania switch for the fuse box. He said it was an easy job and they would take care of it. I was scheduled for an appointment from 10 – 12 on July 1. At 1:00, I get a call from the electrician, Caleb, that he is still in the middle of another job but he would be there shortly. Around 3:00, he calls again to say he probably won’t make it since he still has another job. I told him that I took the day off and if he didn’t make it, I would just call someone else. He arrived at 4:45 and worked for about an hour. He then shares with me that he doesn’t have the Sylvania switch and they would need to come back. I ask if he can at least remove the live wire hanging out of my wall and he says he wasn’t comfortable doing it since he wasn’t sure which fuse it was. Bratcher Electric calls a few days later once they have the part and sets an appointment for July 10, between 12 -2. Guess what…no show and no call. So I call the company to ask where they were. Karen tells me that she called me that morning to say they weren’t coming out (she didn’t), then she says that because of the storm that had passed through an hour earlier that they had emergencies and would not be coming. So nearly three weeks later, I still have an over the range microwave sitting on my counter with a live wire hanging out of my wall. I should have just gone with someone else.

Kudos to Bratcher Electric! My wife and I just had a Kohler Generator installed by the crew at Bratcher. Chris and his partner (I'm sorry-I missed his name) worked from morning to night. It was a big job, but they treated our house as it was theirs, making sure they didn't make a big mess. Much appreciated. We had three companies give us bids for the generator. My wife felt the most comfortable with Mike Bratcher and his company. The owner came to our house to give us the bid himself. Personal service goes a long way today in our opinion. Phenomenal company!nBratcher Electric installed my new electric box (in preparation for a new HVAC system) and two lights. Additionally, they also installed some safety upgrades. Their quote saved me significant money compared to another local electrician. Look forward to hiring Bratcher Electric again when I need more work done.
