Innovative Drywall Services

Innovative drywalled my entire home and also did the blown insulation. My house is nothing special and pretty small. They did a decent job. Actually compared to the people I have dealt with during my remodel I was surprised they even finished the job. All the guys were nice at the time and had no issues whatsoever. It was about two weeks ago I hired them to do some minor drywall repair in my bathroom. They screwed up the job pretty badly. I contacted Mark (the owner) several times before he returned my call. He came out that day with the secretary (I can't remember her name) to inspect the job. They were nice enough but I could tell they were not happy about anything I was saying. They decided that they would fix it the following day at 9 AM. So a setback but I was happy he was willing to fix it without putting up a fuss. Well, they no-showed the next morning. I didn't call them until the next day. It was at this time Mark yelled at me and told me to calm down several times. I was simply talking to him and explaining what they had done wrong. Nothing he needed to yell at me about. My best guess is he has an anger issues. He threw his phone down attempting to hang up. His secretary then emailed my girlfriend explaining that Mark attempted to talk to me but we were unable to have a conversation. She then said she would send an invoice for the work the completed. I called her directly and told her that if they wanted to get paid they needed to complete the job properly. Also, Mark needed to call me back when he calmed down. She didn't care, he never called back and I ended up tearing down the work they screwed up and did the job correctly myself. It was a totally unnecessary and ridiculous experience dealing with Innovative Drywall. I believe Mark and his secretary (his daughter) are running a scam and certainly don't know how to act as professionals. There workers do a decent job but the company is a mess. Do not trust these people. I contacted several other people for the estimate. One had previously worked at Innovative before Mark attacked his younger brother. Of course I can't confirm this but his story was very convincing especially after Mark's outburst during our conversation on the phone. Do yourself a favor and hire someone else or watch a YouTube video and do it yourself. Rhino Construction is also owned/operated by Mark and located at the same address in Brooklyn, MI. I would stay away from them as well.

Very Unprofessional. The person they sent out did a terrible job which costs extra money from another drywall service to come out and correct. Then got hunted down like a wild animal for payment on something that was not up to quality work. Do yourself a favor and don't use them!

Innovative is a good name the excuses they give for not showing up, not returning calls .
