This place was so cool..We were here on Feb 17 2021... It was frozen almost completely you could see the water flowing underneath the ice in some spots.. we climbed all the way up to the top of the frozen waterfall and got some great pictures... One of my favorites in southern maine. Great and short set of trails with a nice view of the gorgeous fall. Easy and accessible to most, this is a spot not to miss.
So much fun there! I'm going to be going back soon to do the trail fully I kinda skipped the area!
I went around 11:30 and there was only one other car on the lot. I live in OOB and I go by this place all the time. I have to say that even though the lot is fairly good size, it does fill up quickly during the summer. When I left today (4/8/21), after about an hour exploring, there were already 6 cars. Btw... the trail is not that big, but it does give you a nice break from your normal daily routine. It's beautiful and best of all, it's very peaceful. Btw...If you bring your kids, keep an eye on them. There are some dangerous areas where young kids should not go on their own. Just be aware!
Pretty cool although not much was done safety wise near falls..
