We went on rainy Saturday in hopes of meeting and seeing Mr. Pearlman and his amazing work. We were not disappointed on both counts. He was there and talked with us about his amazing trek from Philadelphia to St. George, Maine, the works he has done, the jobs he has had and the beautiful creations he has made. Thank you for being so willing to take the time to speak with us, explain your inspirations and the time involved to create such beautiful pieces.

George Pearlman is one of the coolest people in Saint George, and his gallery is always worth a trip. George's gallery is always changing, and it's been a lot of fun over the years to watch his style evolve.nnWhile some pieces are functional their primary purpose is decoration. If you are looking for quaint pottery, or a bucolic souvenir this is not your store. However, if you would like sculpture or a centerpiece, especially for a large dining table or mantle, you're in the right place. These are artworks, and they are priced accordingly.nnGeorge's pieces range from small to enormous. While many are generally shaped as platters or bowls the bulk are vase-like and many follow no particular paradigm. They tend to be asymmetrical and can be anywhere from willowy to bulbous.nnThe works range from brightly colored to subtly shaded, with the majority sharing both qualities. They are often formal, frequently tongue-in-cheek, sometimes geometric, often Asiatic, and sometimes raucous.nnDo have a chat with George if he has time, because his conversation is usually the best part of the visit.
