This beautiful hotel is perfect for a couple’s getaway. Starting when you enter the lobby you get such a cozy and elegant perspective of the hotel. Being that it is located right by the water the view is gorgeous. I personally enjoyed both pools (heated) and hot tubs. The rooms were absolutely comfortable and sophisticated. I highly recommend.

The property is absolutely beautiful! It feels a little over crowded considering the environment we live in, but I understand that they need to make money to stay in business. A few items need some maintenance but that is minor. The room was stunning with a view of the island and an incredible bathtub and shower (2 heads). I will definitely stay again.

Here is why they are getting a three star. First of all, they lied about the size of their rooms. They said on the phone it was over 600 sqft and then the manager tried to lie again when we saw the rooms. The rooms were no more than 250 sqft. They tried to make it up to us by giving us a $100 daily voucher to use at the restaurant. They also moved us to a slightly bigger room for half our stay. It was still nowhere near 600 sqft. Stop lying to people. The restaurant food was great! We ate there for breakfast just about every morning and had dinner there once. Was very surprised with the pizza. Very good. Lobby looks fancy and had lots of seating. Parking is limited sometimes and required keycard to get in. Pools are heated. Next time will try the Harbor Inn.

We did our research before coming to Bar Harbor and chose this hotel as we loved the location and the kids suite option. Typically when we travel we prefer to get a suite so we can have some quiet time alone after the kids go to sleep. We spent almost $700 a night to get this suite and it accomplished nothing of what we were hoping. While the premises were nice the room was a huge disappointment. The “suite” was a regular room and there was simply a partition wall to the kids small bunk area. There was no door to their sleeping quarters which meant only age appropriate television (kids are 8 & 4) and the “tv” that they could watch didn’t work. The internet barely worked. There was no little shampoos in the room and it didn’t feel clean at all. Our first floor suite looked out to the parking lot. The food was good and the location was perfect but in hindsight I wished I had only spent what the cost of the regular room costs as there was no advantage in paying so much for what was falsely advertised as a suite. I should have asked them to move us.

So far so good! The hotel location is great for walking and browsing shops and eateries. The view is amazing and right now even on the coast colors have started to change for fall. The staff has been very king and enjoyable and the food hasn't missed satisfying. Attached is my view..minus our mimosas!
