The Central House, as its name would imply, is centrally located to anywhere you want to be in Bar Harbor. The rooms are clean and air-conditioned, the bed is comfortable, and the innkeeper is friendly. There is off-street parking for mid-sized cars and trucks, but if you show up with a larger truck or SUV, you might have difficulty parking. A very nice location and a very nice value.
The innkeeper is very friendly, the building quaint and comfortable. The only reason for the four stars is that we chose this location in part because of the wifi... which is sporadic at best, and painfully slow when it does work.nnIf that's not important to you, I couldn't recommend this place more highly!

This place is the most adorable place to stay the night around Acadia and Bar Harbor. The owners are so nice and friendly and make sure that your stay is enjoyable. I love that is near all the food/bars/stores and a short drive from most of Acadia's trails. I would definitely love to stay here again if I come up to Acadia again.
The Central House is absolutely gorgeous. Beth was extremely kind and made our stay perfect. The house is aptly named: central to Bar Harbor. The rooms are clean, spacious, and the entire house is well maintained. The price is low but the quality is high. I would absolutely stay here again.
