A brilliant B&B! Great location and very comfortable. Host Leigh was attentive and informative. Husband Matt's breakfasts were excellent, with the best overeasy eggs I've had. Coffee and tea always available, plus snacks. Free parking. Would definitely stay again.
This was the best bed & breakfast experience I’ve ever had. Leigh and Matt have a clear gift of being hospitable. Leigh sat down with us to give us all the info we could possibly need on the park and the town of Bar Harbor. Matt cooked delicious breakfasts every morning and they even made us custom menus. I would go back to Bar Harbor just to stay here again. The rooms are also nice and very comfortable. I can’t recommend this place enough!
Leigh and Matt are phenomenal hosts. The Maples Inn is a historic house with loads of charm. If you are looking for a fabulous bed and breakfast with wonderful made to order breakfasts, comfy linens and morning and evening treats, look no further! Leigh and Matt are the real deal. They offer great accommodations coupled with fantastic local information. The Maples Inn is amazing!
Wonderful experience. Beautiful B&B just a 5 min. walk from Bar Harbor Main Street and the City Dock. Our bed was very comfortable and the room was clean & quiet. We can't say enough good things about our hosts, Leigh & Matt. They are very friendly, knowledgeable and accomodating. Oh, and the breakfasts are delicious, delightful and delectable. We highly recommend The Maples Inn for your stay in Bar Harbor.
I've stayed at a lot of B&Bs during my life (I'm CEO of a travel company) and this establishment ranks among the best of them. It's the place where I would go again if I ever return to Bar Harbor.nnThe main thing that sets them apart is the way Matt and Leigh notice and take care of the little things. They are well schooled in the art of hospitality and it shows! The rooms are well appointed and the building well maintained. The beds are excellent. The A/C worked well. The breakfasts were creative and delicious (Matt is a fine chef). The personalized notes on the room door and at breakfast creates a sense of connection. There are lots of resources to help you optimize your time in the area based on your areas of interest. Their location is great with all key venues (including the free shuttles -- which I highly recommend) within easy walking distance. The bottom line is that you can count on an excellent experience here.
