Canterbury Cottage is PERFECT in every way and we are excited to return; amazing location, fantastic food, friendly hosts. Thank you Camalyne for the lovely food and for welcoming us into your place. We stayed in March of 2021 and it was a quiet but lovely time to be in Bar Harbor. We could easily walk to the park, to and from the college and the town from the central location. We highly recommend staying here.

A homey feel with comfy beds, clean bathrooms and delicious breakfasts made every morning. Within walking distance of everything in Bar Harbor. The hostess is a fantastic cook and our stay was as comfy as a Ritz Carlton.

THE PERFECT PLACE! We cannot say enough great things about Canterbury Cottage. The hostess, Camelyn and her sweet daughter made us feel like family during our stay. The location couldn't be better, steps from every shop and restaurant in Bar Harbor and minutes from every hike in Acadia. The breakfasts we're out of this world! Look no further, stay at Canterbury Cottage!

I stayed here in October of 2020. I felt very safe in light of the virus because the hosts took precautions and made sure that people wore masks in the common spaces. Also, everything was spotlessly clean and the breakfast was always wonderful. You can walk anywhere in downtown Bar Harbor from the location but it is still quiet at night and isn't on a busy street. This was a clean, comfortable and friendly place to stay and I recommend it to anyone visiting Mount Desert Island.

If I could give 10 stars I would. Excellent location so close to town. The small touches are so wonderful and thoughtful. A very friendly, warm, inviting feeling as soon as you walk in. The house has so much character and the family running it was so hospitable. Camelyn’s breakfast was amazing!!!!! Also they have brownies or other fun treats waiting for you daily along with teas and coffee and everything has been amazing. I’m here for another 2 mornings and can’t wait to try what other awesome dishes she might come up with. Also a bonus is the dog friendly rooms!! We definitely will return!!!
