Best lobster dish in Bar Harbor by far! We got the lobster grilled cheese which was phenomenal and the fish tacos with Haddock. The service was super prompt and hospitable. They have a huge selection of local brews and fun drinks from all over. Really made us feel like we experienced Maine! Definitely would go back here out of all of the places we stopped to eat in Acadia. Only wish we got another lobster grilled cheese to go because it was so yummy.

Awesome spot for a wide variety of local brews. Our bartender was friendly and entertaining. Cool vibe, small inside which I liked. Didn't try any of their food. Definitely recommended!

Tap & Barrel is hands-down one of the best 'local' bars I have found in my 15+ years of visiting Bar Harbor bars. I ended up stopping in 4 of my 6 nights for some great beer and equally good service/conversation from the owner-bartender. Set back off the street a little, the interior is intimate with a very laid-back, everyone-is-friends feel. The owner clearly knows the area and stocks a wide selection of local beers both draft and cans. Don't worry, there is also an extensive array of liquors and other beverages if beer is not your thing. Personally, I am into the craft beer scene so I told him what I like and let him run with it -- I was never disappointed! Thanks for being a super bright spot in my vacation! I will be back next year!

It's a small place but warm and friendly. Limited menu but old favorites and a couple of interesting choices (shrimp appetizer). A very good beer selection without being intimadating.

4.8. Josh, the owner, is a great host. Even for two out-of-towners from California who don’t wear the local colors! Lol. Cozy place with several screens to watch. Loved that he had table games to play. We left a new set of cards for future! Good beers and wine too!
