I am so excited to work with such a great team at Wauconda Care. Therapy and Nursing are definitely the best you will ever find; especially being rated as a 5 star building. Let's also remember all of the staff that provides the most compassionate and loyal patient friendly care. Peace of mind for the family and great outcomes for the patient!

Earlier this year, my mother was a hospice patient at Wauconda Care for two and a half months. She received wonderful care from the nurses and aids. Their employee culture is much better and stronger than many similar facilities. Everyone was very caring and wonderful to our mother. And responsive to our requests and questions. They worked closely with our hospice team too. The facility was always clean too.

I have been a patient at Wauconda Care twice in 2019. First time I was there after gall bladder surgery. I had a drain after getting an infection. I left the hospital after a week very weak. Physical Therapy helped me regain my strength. The second time was after a total knee replacement. My wound was well taken care of. Again I had physical therapy. Their therapy room is big and well equip. If you don't like something on the menu you can ask for something else. I got spoiled.

Have had my own relatives stay here during rehab and would definitely recommend them to anyone. They've done a great job wirth their remodeling of their rehab room, very nice private rooms that don't make you feel like you're in a rehab facility, great staff. Hidden gem in the area.

Toured this facility and I would NEVER consider sending my relative to this place. There are no private rooms, the room we were shown had two twin beds, unmade, messy and smelly. Four people share a bathroom. Can't imagine spending my last days of life in this awful place. Wondering how in the world they received a five star rating. This is an old poorly lit, shabby building. The outside and the inside are just terrible. I can't think of even one nice thing to say about our visit. The brochure and the website are nothing like the facility. Wish I had taken some pictures to show how it really looks, but we just wanted to leave.
