My mother was under hospice care with Residential for 5 days and I regret this greatly. While this company puts on a good front at the start, it quickly becomes apparent they are not caring, not compassionate, and are going to cover their mistakes with fast talk.n1. We signed our mother up on Monday with the chaplain and we’re told how wonderful everything would be and how great their app was for communication.n2. I received one call from the nurse and one from the social worker. Both were kind and answered my questionsn3. No notes put in the app , which we were told would be a “great way to communicate “n4. Call to office about no notes in app and my desire to know our mother’s status. I was told by the office that “the note section on the app is not used”.n5. Our mother died on Saturday at 3:30pm as we stood outside her window. The nurse of the facility said she would contact hospice.n6. Saturday evening no call from hospice and app disabledn7. Sunday no call from hospicen8. Our funeral director helped us through this sadnessn9. I emailed the chaplain from Residential to express my shock and dismay at these practices. He replied “ they should have called you.”n10. We get a voicemail from this company regarding my email. I did not return the call for one weekn11. Call to S—- , who is the complete representation of this company; rude, lack of empathy, condescending, and unprofessional. Her goal is to cover up mistakes , no doubt. Comments as “ you are not happy with the timeframe in which we contacted you? You said the nurses did a good job, what is your concern? “ and, a host of other nonsensenThe most uncaring individual to be working for a hospice company.n12. Bottom line, if your loved one dies on the weekend or after 5pm, be prepared to handle things without assistance . The app is useless and should never be described as handy and helpful. This is a business and nothing more. Lastly, the person named S—- who will return your calls is not someone who cares.nI greatly regret signing our dear mother up with Residential Hospice. I will regret this decision until my last days. The pain and anguish of her passing was only magnified by the fact that this company failed to step up and call us upon her death, explain what happened, and assist us as they claimed. Then, upon my complaint, tried to cover their mistake with nonsense talk and never understanding why we could be upset.nI do not recommend this company and would suggest checking thoroughly any hospice company you place a loved one with because you will think of that forever, but they will not.

My husband received wonderful in home care from Residential i Plainfield. Between Rosa, Kathy, Jessica and Beth, they made his life so much more comfortable and when he passed away early on a Sunday morning, a nurse came and sat with me and helped with arrangements. I couldn't have done it without them. When I called in the middle of the night, the nurse was there to guide me and during his last two nights, when I was so afraid and called for help, the nurse on call helped me thru those horrible times and called me back several times to check.. Thankyou all of you.

Residential Home Health Care helped with my Dad both with palliative care and hospice care. I usually don't write reviews but I was confused when I read the negative reviews as we had a great experience with this company. They helped make a difficult situation tolerable. Everyone was very kind and attentive. I would highly recommend them.

( I was force to give 1 star or wouldn't let me post it)nnLack of ethics and responsibility.nnI am not used to giving bad reviews of services received, but this time I feel that my father was discriminated against for being over 78 years old, who doesn’t speak English and he is poor. This institution was hired to give my father two personal visits to his house after his spine surgery, the first visit was made and went very well, the nurse was a little quiet, but I thought it was her personality. A second visit was schedule for June 4 in the morning which never happened, no one called to cancel or confirm, I called that day to know what time the nurse would be at my father's house, they told me that they have his nurse schedule for that day and that she would be calling soon, that never happened, I called the office again and they told me the same thing adding that if she didn't call me that same day she would do it the next day Friday, June 5. Today is June 8 and no one has called, I called, after being transferred 6 times with different persons and disconnected 4 times at last someone answer to tell me that he had already been released. They released him without seeing if he was ready to start his physical therapy. He will start his physical therapy tomorrow and I will hold this institution responsible for the consequences, according to the report that they have in writing there is no impediment for him to continue with the physical therapy, “In writing because the nurse never so him to evaluate him after the first visit on late May.”nLack of ethics and responsibility.

I would rate this place 0 stars if i had the chance.. awful service and claims that are never followed through. Friend's mother needed assistance and the nurse said she would come two days a week but shows up in the evening...when the entire day has passed. This entire establishment needs to be shutdown bc of their inconsistency and their inability to help in some peoples hardest times of their lives. Absolutely disgusting. Will be telling anyone not to use this establishment for hospice care needs.
