Took my FOID fees and failed to process the application for 6 months and counting. I have no criminal record. Spent $11 on the application itself but then another $60 to get my fingerprints done thinking it would speed up the process as they claim. So not only have they denied my 2nd amendment rights and wasted my money, but they now have my fingerprints as well which is a violation of my privacy given that no service was performed in exchange. Not responsive to calls or email.
My card was in my stolen wallet. Been trying to call for weeks; no answers. I've literally waited an hour to no avail. I tried to report it lost on the website; they show the same card that I've had for TWO YEARS and that TWO ranges have ON FILE as CANCELLED as if i never received one, so I cant do anything on the website either. Whats efficient about this?
Zero stars. I've had nothing but trouble renewing my FOID card since last October. Like most people have said, no one answers the phone and you can't get a hold of anyone via email either. Maybe it's the government's passive aggressive stance on how they feel about the second amendment, who knows. The reality is they just don't care. The entire bureau staff should be fired and replaced because the service is absolutely terrible.
In the past of prevouis reviews....it seems like this place is bad police force.
Is there a way to give this no stars? Been trying to get my FOID card renewed for months and there's absolutely no way of actually talking to a human being. Worst service ever... the menu prompts and button keys don't even work when you call the number. So much for a 2nd amendment.
