Should'nt get a star ...the Officer I dealt with could'nt put his fork down long enough to do his job! Sad, saad department if you ask me!

First of all, the police are very unsympathetic for those of us who are homeless. They make all of us sit up and we can't go to sleep but only when certain officers are on duty. It's bad enough the local shelters often get full to capacity and those whom can't get in have no other place to go. Speaking as a homeless person myself, I feel they can at least offer an alternative option when shelters are full at least after normal operating hours. I understand that they are not set up in a manner to handle homeless they way a shelter can. They can at least offer for example temporary bedding for use while we are here. Homeless have rights too and such are addressed in the Homeless Bill of Rights. Some of the officer's are understanding and that is a huge help, but those are far and few between. I do fully support all the men and women of law enforcement, but also in turn who will support the homeless when no other will?

They had one awesome cop, Samuel Rosario and they fired the guy for behaving in what most found to be a highly appropriate way. Instead of supporting the officer he was placed on unpaid leave and fired. Community policing is gone and this is the very reason the police no longer get any respect at all! Such a shame honestly.

Tried to call them and ask about their policing policy. Let them know I am a black man who will be visiting the city, and asked if I should give them my license plate number so that they don't harass me. Got hung up on. They said I was harassing them???
