Barnes & Noble

Still a nice place after all these years. While I realize the digital magazine publications are taking over, I wish their Automotive magazine selection was as good as it used to be. Like the Iowa city location. The cafe is a nice feature.

Helpful and courteous staff. The actual store is like every Barnes & Noble: clean, classy, and stuffed full of books that are displayed in just the right way to get you to buy more than you intended to. This is also a great place to buy small gifts, puzzles, school supplies, and toys.

I am rating this not 5 stars as I and others typically do ONLY due to having to wait in a long line to check out purchases these days, most likely due to COVID. Libraries are closed since COVID so we tend to pay for the feel and smell of great books. Sadly, one line with one register open out of the typical -- what? -- 4 (I'm guessing) registers is not productive but just my opinion. Otherwise, adore B&N.

This place is truly something else, makes me feel gross even walking by it, employees are so rude and discrimative...

I love this store! Deep in to the holiday shopping period and still had all the things I needed!
