A close family member for whom I am responsible was at this facility for 4 months. They had previously been in 2 other settings without little to no improvement. The physician at MSH got her on an effective medication regimen. The social worker was a God-send, helping me find a placement that met my loved one's needs and which we could financially manage. Before and after discharge, I experienced support and empathy that I had not found in other situations. If I wanted to find something to complain about, I probably could--BUT what is important to me was the outcome of MSH'S care and treatment of my loved one and for that, 5 stars.

My mother was put there.The bedridden patients are not able to get on the corded phone for families to talk to them.Its attached and they don't a one cordless phone.Aarently they are too cheap to get one.Plus bedridden patients don't have TV's in their rooms.so they just sit and staring at the ceiling until they die.Families such as myself can't bring them one either .A cruel exsitance.

From what I’ve seen of the staff, they’re unfriendly and utterly unhelpful. They have a courtyard, but it’s never used. They told me they are understaff and that is why. My mother told me that some of the staff are nice, but some aren’t. I’m not able to see her room because of privacy laws. Trying to get my mother on the phone is difficult because most the time the phone in the ward doesn’t work. The visiting room is absolutely depressing. I won’t lie, it’s not a great. So far my opinion is pretty low of the entire place. I am upset my mother was not allowed to go outside in the courtyard area because it was deemed unsafe. Ridiculous. I raised hell but it did no good.

The Harper center is one of the worse place to put a family member especially the Fall unit.... there is no love on that unit especially the 2nd shift..my mother was there for a while and I hope they close the doors to that horrible please...if you don't have the love and patience with the elders please don't go into the nursing filed.when my mother went to that horrible place she was strong now she's weak in health not eating or drinking water and my mother love water but by God grace and mercy God allows me to get her out of that place . please think twice before you put your love ones in these felcitly ..
