Awful place....dirty beds, I mean dried blood on the bed. Patient care techs are awesome, but my wife's nurse can never tell me anything the dr says, and I cant get the drs to communicate with me. Wife has been in here for 2 weeks so far and I have yet to see or hear from her Dr......will be talking to the administrator on Monday!

I only gave a star bc it forces you to rate; however it deserves none! This was the worst hospital experience I’ve ever witnessed. Among other issues throughout my mother’s stay, when she was finally discharged a week ago, (immobile and unable to communicate) , we were given no instructions other than to follow up with PC. She is a dialysis patient with renal failure. No follow up labs were ordered which is pertinent for patients on dialysis. A week later, my mother is currently in DCH C-ICU fighting for her life as the Pinnacle Group dr who discharged her wrote for a potassium prescription that was essentially double of what any dialysis patient should consume. Her potassium at ER admission yesterday was 8.6 which is critical. Her heart rate was in the 160s. Had it not been for a fabulous team of DCH drs (Proctor, Neil Shah, and Berry) working through the night last night, my mom would have died.

My sister was sent there February 2021 they cleared up her lungs but she developed several other severe problems while there and couldn't get the doctors she needed. She had to have 3 units of blood the lung Dr asked for hemmotologist on Monday and she still hasn't seen one as of Friday morning. Also as of 10:30 am Friday morning hadn't seen her nurse nor had any meds.

My family was not happy with the care or staff who took care of my aunt and we all took turns so that one of us would see her daily. We traveled 4 hours one way, weekly to see her. We had to make an appointment in advance for the one hour we would be there between 2-5. I think they were happy for the Covid rules which only let one person visit per day for that hour. My aunt started out on the ventilator, therefore she couldn’t use a nurse call button, then when removed still had a trach. When we went to see her the call button was on the floor or out of reach. When she could finally talk , all she could do was yell out to them for help. Her catheter bag was mostly always full of urine, the IV machine alarm went off frequently and alarmed a long time before turning off/fixing the problem. The last day I saw her, she passed away that night. While I was there, an alarm kept going off, saying Respiration too high, it was 46! They would just turn it off as if her respiration’s didn’t matter. One nurse would huff at you and roll her eyes at you when trying to ask her questions. One nurse acted like he didn’t know what he was doing. You felt like you were bothering them to ask questions or ask for anything. There was only one nurse that seemed caring for my aunt and us and one lady at the nurses desk where you signed in to see my aunt that was very nice. After my aunt passed, they could not find her belongings! After some persuasion, they came up with all of it, even a plant they had helped themselves to at the desk.nThus is definitely not somewhere I would want another family member to go to. I can only hope that the staff there receive the same love and care if they’re ever in the facility as a patient as they gave our loved one! There’s a lot more but I’ll stop there.

Our family member was on the ventilator for almost 80 days after having covid. She was in 2 different ICU’s and on another unit and they were all unable to wean her off the ventilator. In fact the doctors said she would never come off. It wasn’t until she was transferred to Noland Hospital in DCH that she was able to finally come off the ventilator. Their main goal was to wean her and their team worked daily to do so. I will be honest, I was very hesitant for her to be transferred to this facility after reading the reviews . We were honestly at a point to where we were just taking a chance but they by far exceeded my expectations. Like all nurses everywhere, they were stretched thin at times but the team leader was in contact with us promptly if we ever had an issue and he went above and beyond to make sure our family member was taken care of and even made a way for us to see her when he recognized how important it was for her healing. She was able to be completely weaned from the ventilator in about 4 weeks and she was sitting up in a chair eating shortly after and then discharged home. Our family will forever be grateful for this team at Noland. I honestly do not think our family member would be with us today if it weren’t for their care.
