Throughout my life I've probably tried every form of exercise known to man and never stuck with any. I was about to turn 60 years old and pretty depressed about it. I was dealing with a declining parent, only 19 years older than me, that had already lost all her mobility and strength and bound to a wheelchair.nWell, it's true, we do learn from our parents and I didn't want to be like my mom. I stumbled across Ideal Exercise and it sounded different than anything I'd tried and it was. The 1st few months were not easy but doable. Who can't manage 30 minutes a week! Right? There is definitely a learning curve to use the machines correctly and it's still hard but it's so worth it. I'm almost 63 now and can run circles around my friends! I'm playing golf and back playing tennis again and have more muscle mass than I've ever had in my life. Thank you Ethan.

I started going to Ideal Exercise in 2009. I was never one to like “working out”. I had read about this type of working out/strength training in a book titled “Body By Science”. It said I could get results in 30 minutes a week, with my busy schedule, lack of time, I thought I would give this a try. I meet Ethan in the initial consultation, he was very professional and serious. He immediately told me if I was looking for a gym, this was not the place. If I was looking for a place to strengthen my muscles and improve my overall functionality then I was at the right place. At the time I was 5’9” and weighed 216 lbs. This has been life changing event. My back no longer hurts, I am in the best shape that I have been in over 25 years. I just turned 50 and weigh 163 lbs. I am able to participate in recreational activities like running, (currently running up to 11 miles without stopping, under 10 minute mile pace). When I arrive at Ideal exercise, Ethan is ready to start, I walk in a nice office atmosphere, temperature around 68. It is strictly an instructor and trainee environment; no mirrors, no music, cell phones. Just the machines, fans, Ethan and me. There is no yelling, only instructing, concentrating only on the targeted muscles. Each exercises last about 2 minutes, and I am finished in 15 minutes. I have learned that this exercise and running is recreational.
