My husband and I have recently discovered this little gem of a restaurant, the atmosphere is really great, historic building in a quaint little town. The food was also very good and the prices were reasonable. The staff is friendly and more than willing to serve. We've eaten here twice in the past month and we'll be going back soon. Don't change a thing, we love it!
We visited freighthouse restaurant and we had the lunch special hamburger steak and was very good along with the pinto beans mashed potatoes and gravy and cornbread. A good country meal for a fair price and good service along with hey clean dining room and clean restrooms. I would suggest a visit for an enjoyable meal.
Good food,even the hard to prepare items.nEDIT: This comment was from a year ago.nLast time I went was April2,2021 My group goes often and drives 45 minutes. We are always satisfied by the food and the staff.nWe've also been there when they were serving a large group. They even did good with that difficult situation.
Love this restaurant! It has amazing menu choices, fresh and well-prepared food, friendly and attentive staff, and you’ll be hard put to find dining that has more atmosphere. Give it a try! I think you’ll come back again!
Fried pickles were very tasty. Steak was excellent. Train wreck absolutely wrecked me. Great food and fantastic service.
