Always a fun & beautiful adventure! Great place for visitors, children & pets. Bring a blanket and chill out next the Big Koi Fish ... relax! Free close parking. I have yet to see it at night with lights! Looking forward to it soon!

Beautiful. The Park here quickly became one of the favorite date spots for my wife and I when we want to just get out and walk and relax. The place is very clean, great signature spots for pictures or even proposals. From time to time a local musician will be playing on the gazebo or to the side somewhere, and it's usually pretty laid back. It is also surrounded by a great pizza place that has good food and staff (a little pricy but worth it along with good service that sometimes even comes out to the park and finds you to place the order and brings it out to you so you don't have to cut your walk short to go get the food. Pretty cool I know.) We love to take our niece and nephew there to feed the ducks it's just a fun simple place to be.

Had not been there in over 30 years and was glad to see the big fish were still there and was still pet friendly. Nice place.

Great park at a great location. However, the recent renovations missed the mark. Way too much concrete everywhere which is especially blinding in the summer. Sidewalk construction and retaining walls are also falling in the water in some places

Love Big Spring Park! Not as much since the renovation and they added a bunch of concrete and took away a lot of the shade and free parking but all in all, it's a great area. In normal circumstances, there is usually an event of some sort happening in the park, along Church Street or a short walk up the canal side stairs to the courthouse square. The Huntsville Museum of Art, Von Braun Center and numerous restaurants and bars are also within walking distance.
