It’s been a little over a year since I gave birth to my little boy at Madison Hospital, so I’m not sure why I haven’t thought to post a review until now. Becoming a first-time mom is scary, but with the help of Madison Hospital’s amazing team of nurses and doctors, everything went so much more smoothly than I could have ever imagined. I absolutely love Dr. Acuff for advocating for me for the type of birth that I wanted, and of course, for delivering my baby boy safely, all while keeping me safe and calm during my c-section. I also want to say a special thank you to one of the nurses I was fortunate enough to have through the middle of that first night as a mother. Her name is Amy and she is an angel. I will never forget how compassionate and genuine she was to both me and my baby. She comforted me and my little boy during a rough night, and I will never forget the way she held and rocked my baby when I was not able to stand yet. I’m not sure if Amy is still on the labor and delivery floor at Madison, but if so, I hope that I am lucky enough to have her as a nurse in the future when I hopefully have another baby. Thank you to all at Madison for making such a special time even better.

The labor and delivery ward at Madison Hospital is phenomenal. The rooms are huge and very comfortable. I gave birth to my son on November 23rd. I wanted an all natural birth, the nurses and doctors really listened to what I wanted and tried to be as accommodating as possible. The nurses are trained in spinning babies and they were incredibly helpful. Unfortunately my son was facing up, had the umbilical cord wrapped around him and my water had broken prematurely. His heartbeat kept dropping and after almost 48 hours of laboring, we decided to move forward with a c section. While this was not what we had planned, the staff was amazing in easing my mind about the surgery and everything went great with no further complications.nnI wish I could remember the names of all the nurses, the anesthesiologist and the lactation consultant who helped us because they were all fantastic. I appreciate all the help and the comfort they gave me and my husband during a very scary time. Due to COVID we could not have any family there but the staff made us feel at ease and were truly amazing. I also want to give a shout-out to the doctor who actually did the surgery, Morgan Tucker. I appreciated his calm and professional demeanor and he did a great job.

Came to the ER because my daughter had been throwing up and was getting dehydrated. I understand the whole covid deal where only one parent could be in there. But anyways waited in the ER room for 4 hrs while she was sick and throwing up before they got her to a room. Finally got in a room and took some test which took another 4 to 5 hrs to get results back. She needed at least 2 bags of fluid and the first bag ran out of fluid she was still dehydrated. My point is they need to do there jobs better. Check on the patient and not take 4 to 5 hrs to get results back. Was rude when you go and find someone to try find out what’s going on. I’ve been to plenty of other hospitals and this is the first one that I’ve been to where they seem like they didn’t care for nor about the patient. I highly recommend that you go to another hospital than this one. I won’t ever bring any of my family back here. Shame on you Madison hospital. Do your jobs with care and do your jobs period.

A big THANK YOU to doctor Abelowitz! He is a world class pediatrician, and most importantly an exceptional human being. Doctors are under more pressure than ever before (COVID), and he manages to give our family + the other patients he cares for his undivided attention during all visits. &He has such wonderful bedside manner.

These doctors and nurses are amazing. It is a beautiful facility. I went in with high fever this summer and it turned out to be food poisoning. I was so scared but the nurses were amazing. Thank you all!!
