Prior to today I’ve had two incidents of with this office that I let slide. Today they have completely been inconsiderate and quite frankly lost me as a patient. I showed up to my appointment 10 minutes early to get checked in as always, got called to the back and sat in the room for a few minutes before someone notified me that the doctor I was scheduled with called out. I was just in a horrible car accident and recently released from the hospital. It was a fight to get out of bed this morning and walk into the building by myself as they would not allow my granddad to help me walk. Apparently they have no on call doctors nor were they able to get me in with one of the other doctors who were already in the building. I would not recommend coming here.

They are great and work with people from the community on all kinds of health concerns without trying to drain your bank account. All my care has been free with my healthcare marketplace insurance and I have a low income. I’ve lao enjoyed the opportunity it’s to meet people from my neighborhood while waiting in the waiting area - that’s the dow side, you will have to wait. I think altogether I was there few hours so just make sure you take sufficient time off work to do it.

I called to ask ONE question about COVID-19 testing, and I was told, “We don’t do that in the office. That’s at the health department.” CLICK. She hung up on me without me being able to say literally another word. I’m appalled that the staff is so incredibly rude there at Piedmont.nThis was on 7/1/2020 at 3:33PM. I tapped 2 to speak to staff.nMaybe y’all can figure out who it was. Incredibly rude and unprofessional.

Residency program affiliated, the clinic has a dedicated hospital service and because it is residency affiliated one or more of the clinic physicians will always be in the hospital, leading to better patient continuity of care. Residents are well trained and practice with a great deal of oversight, the clinic has a great many connections within the community both from a medical perspective and a social work perspective. All insurance types should be accepted, given it is a residency clinic. One of big issues facing medicine today is continuity of patient care, fortunately this clinic manages to address that problem by having a dedicated hospitalist service.
