Amy L Butters Attorney At Law
Reviews

Amy has been nothing but professional and efficient with my case. I was going through a hard time financially and had to file a chapter 13. I called her office and began working with her. Amy told me what I had to do, answered my questions, and stood for me in court. I am now out of my bankruptcy and its all thanks to Amy. I would recommend her to anyone!

Very unprofessional. When I went in for consultation they were talking crap about multiple customers and other business associates. Amy charges way too much as well. She is a bad person and gives lawyers the bad reputation that they have. Good lawyers do exist. I would recommend Richards law. Affordable, professional and experienced. Good luck and many blessings!

At first she was good, but went through some "personal problems" and became worthless. I had to do all the work to get my (and my gf's) case discharged. On my case a debtor is telling me that their debt is not discharged, I asked Amy to deal with it and she told me she does not feel she is in a position to fight the discharge ability of the debt. Which is basically the debt I wanted discharged. She cost my GF a car as well by not returning any phone calls to the creditors. All in all we are out about $15 grand post bankruptcy because she does not do what she's paid for. Her license to practice law is also on probation (I am assuming its because she does this to everyone). UPDATE 2/1/19 She actually has the balls to have her billing company contact us to try to collect when she knows she did not do anything but hurt us.. good thing she did not have me sign a new agreement for the new cases so I just told the company the debt was discharged in the new cases, and if I have to ill pay another attorney to reopen one and actually include it.

Amy is very knowledgeable and gave me excellent advice. She treated me with respect and understanding. It's hard to trust someone with intimate details of your life, but Amy made it easy and effortless. She is wonderful.

Do not trust this attorney. She initially filed for me in November of 2016! (Yes, a year ago!) and has not been honest for one day since then. She has given me incorrect and harmful misinformation time after time. If any complication arises such as a car wreck which results in the vehicle being totalled, as happened with me, she will be a hindrance. She has no interest in helping people get back on their feet and resolve their financial issues; rather she drags things out, misses deadlines, lies to the client and placates with false promises. She ignores texts, emails, and doesn't show for appointments. After over 60 days of trying to get information ot of her I finally got an appointment set up via a gentleman I had never spoken to prior. I even called to confirm the meeting but Amy did not show. I called to ask where she was and spoke with the same gentleman who made the appointment. He acted quite embarrassed and said he would contact her right away. She called me and had the nerve to say she thought it was a phone meeting. What?!? She has an excuse for everything. Does not know the answer to basic financial questions and will not take the time to find them. Emails are no longer "lost" in this digital world. She is just too lazy and uncaring to respond. She will hold back your financial recover while pulling in any money via the court that she can. Run! Do not walk away from Amy Butters! I am filing an official complaint against her with the US Trustees and strongly suggest all those who have suffered at her poor work do the same. She needs to be stopped from hurting thise who are already suffering financially and trying to recover in as positive and accountable way as can be done.
