We paid $2,800 in 4 months to file for bankruptcy. After they received our last payment we had a meeting about the next steps to take and then they told my husband that he made too much money to file bankruptcy. I don’t even know if that’s the truth, I’ve never heard of that.nnBut you can bet we NEVER RECEIVED ONE DIME of the $2,800 that we paid them. They never did one single piece of paperwork for us. I found out later that I should have taken them to SMALL CLAIMS COURT. I didn’t know until it was too late. But if you’ve been ripped off by him, check into it because you might still have a chance.

I retained David Ebert for a rather complicated bankruptcy. As hard and complicated as my bankruptcy was, Mr. Ebert and his staff always communicated what was required on my part efficiently and timely. His paralegal, Suzanne was very professional and courteous. She always gave me plenty of notice of what was required of me (not the horror stories that I have read about attorney's that would tell their clients that something was due the next day). I was always treated with respect from everyone that I came into contact at Ebert Law Firm. I have no qualms about giving Ebert Law Firm five stars as my bankruptcy was handled very professionally and would recommend Ebert Law Firm to anyone considering bankruptcy.

The service I received was professional. The staff was polite but not what I would call overly friendly. The person that answers the phone doesn't tell you who you are speaking to unless you ask her name. I like to know with whom I'm speaking when I call in. I feel like I paid a higher professional fee for the experience and reputation of this firm but that was my decision. You can probably find cheaper but not necessarily better. Phone calls and emails were returned promptly. Overall, using Ebert Law was a good experience and I would recommend this firm.

Mr. Ebert, and his paralegal Suzanne, and been extremely thorough and wonderfully patient. They have answered every question, and helped be through this entire process. I would highly recommend them.

I've never seen a lawyer act so shady and steal a clients retainer fee for nothing. When I made the appointment the secretary told me that the consultation was free. After the consultation, Carey said she needed to get some more information about the bankruptcy from another lawyer but asked for a retainer before she could get the information she needed to help us. After she talked to the other lawyer she wrote me a short email saying that she couldn't help me with my bankruptcy and I asked her a couple of questions.nnFor answering two questions she sent me a bill for $720! ($425/hr!) This was appalling considering that the consultation was supposed to be free! She basically stole the retainer! Please don't trust these people with a retainer fee! They will steal it without helping you!
