Very cool stop outside of San Antonio. Interesting to see & learn about the history of the house. Host there was very knowledgeable. Do drop some dollars in the box and take a visitor’s guide. Then continue on to the Castroville walking tour to see all the houses (you can drive around too if you prefer).

Nice visitor center, well decorated and stocked with local info on what to do/see. Check out the upstairs for a mini-museum of Alsatian memorabilia.nLocated on highway 90 just east of the Medina river.nAs to the town's actual attractions, I wouldn't recommend going out of the way (like we did) to see them. If you're passing thru with some extra time, take a walking tour or just a brief drive through.

After passing this visitor center for many years, i finally stopped by. Its a nice little house with a small museum up stairs. If you have time, be sure and make a quick stop to see the history and to grab a few info pamphlets on the area.

Great little place to visit. They are socially distanced for your safety. Masks are required inside. Wonderful story and history!

we made a short trip to this little town when we were staying in San Antonio during Thanksgiving break. This town is conveniently located near San Antonio. We went there but the visitor center was closed that day. However we were able to experience beautiful architecture that this building offered.
