Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park™ Camp-Resort: Guadalupe River

Our favorite campground yet! There were so many activities we couldn't do them all! The location on the Guadalupe River is AMAZING for fishing, but don't expect to catch extremely big fish. If you walk down the river a bit you can also launch kayaks, paddle boards, or canoes. For the most part the staff was friendly, and accommodating. They have a restaurant on site and golf carts to rent to go around the park only! Just across the street is also a really great Cafe called Rio Ranch Cafe if you are looking for a nearby breakfast place. IMPORTANT TIP: check the parks website for peak dates for when the water park and restaurant and activities are going on. We booked for a Tuesday-Thursday but were disappointed to find that the restaurant nor the Waterpark nor the activities in the rec center were available, only on weekends and select weekdays. We ended up extending our stay through the weekend to experience the weekend activities which was great! The slides were fun but they did sanitation every 2 hours for 30 minutes allowing us to leave. The bathrooms were amazingly clean and suitable. They each had showers which was great.

Beautiful river views, extremely well manicured walking paths, playgrounds for kids, up kept RV spots. Awesome swimming pool with water slides. Food and beverages are both phenomenal, there's an arcade and theres a really good place to eat right across the street! The staff is outstanding, truly outstanding people. Would recommend to anybody, young or old, kids and adults have plenty to enjoy. Really neat experience

3.5 stars - We went for Easter weekend for the first time and stayed in a cabin. When I walked in the office, I was not greeted and had to tell someone I was checking in while the 4 staff chatted with each other. The staff person sat an envelope on the counter in front of me and walked off. I wasn't sure if everything I needed was in the envelope or what because she didn't speak at all before walking off. So I turned to her and asked if that was all I needed and she said no I'll get you key and handed it to me and walked away again. So I then told her I didn't know I where to go and she informed me finally that a map was in the green envelope. We found our cabin easily afterward. We chose to bring our own sheets in lieu of renting them. All the mattresses had cloth mattress covers and a plastic cover under that. All of the mattress covers were dirty and were definitely not fresh (most had dirt and hair on them). I was thankful that I had my own sheets for sure. The only other issue with cabin was the toilet seat was missing a screw so it moved sideways off the toilet anytime we used it. Its a simple fix that every cleaning person would notice so I can't imagine why it was not repaired before guests arrived. The cabins are very expensive and should have better maintenance and housekeeping. Otherwise, the cabin was a good size and we all slept good.nMy 3 kids (9-14) all found fun activities to do even with chilly rainy weather.nCustomer service at rec center and store was lacking as well. Its not hard to greet someone or say I'll be with you in a moment.nWith all that said, we might visit again in an RV. The staff didn't make or break the stay for us, although, they do need a refresher in service as does housekeeping/maintenance.

So much fun!!! First time to ever visit here was over kids spring break. Weather was a little cold still so water part wasn’t that fun. But everything else was great and staff was very friendly. We will definitely visit again during warmer weather.

We have been here twice. The cabins are supper comfortable and have what you need. The park has a local store where you can find mostly everything. And the attractions at the River are PERFECT!!! We are a family of 6 with 4 kids (16, 12, 11, 8) and there was fun for everyone.nWe were very lucky to come for new year's break and SNOWED!!!! The view was amazing ud83eudd70. We are planning to come back soon during the summer to enjoy the aqua park!
