Kemp Police Department

On 8/25/2018 a police officer pulled my husband over for NO REASON around 5am. My husband asked why he was being pulled over and the officer said his plate light wasn't bright enough. We have 2 plate lights, but 1 of the lights wasn't working properly.nIn the State of Texas as long as 1 plate light is working properly the car passes inspection.nSO he pulled him over for absolutely NO REASON.nTHEN MY HUSBAND HAD TO EXPLAIN WHAT HE WAS DOING OUT IN KEMP.nTHAT'S AN INVASION OF MY FAMILIES PRIVACY.nMy husband just happened to be taking our 16 year old daughter to her boyfriends house. Her boyfriend has a school track race in Dallas today at 6am.nThe officer directed my husband to go home & my husband told him that he would go home after he dropped her off.nTHIS UPSET ME SO MUCH THAT I GOT UP OUT OF BED, JUST TO RIGHT THIS REVIEW.nTHAT OFFICER WAS PICKING ON MY FAMILY.nI dont know the officers name, but my husband described him as Hispanic & driving a police SUV. My family was in a 2 door Sunfire.nWe currently have 2 attorneys working for us at this time, I believe that I talk to them about this situation.nGetting pulled over for nothing while escorting your child to another home - JUST SEEMS WRONG.nALSO JUST TO LET EVERYONE KNOW - THE OFFICER DID NOT ISSUE MY HUSBAND A TICKET FOR ANYTHING. HE JUST PULLED HIM OVER ASKED FOR HIS INSURANCE AND ID. THEN LET HIM GO WITHOUT A TICKET AFTER HE TOLD HIM WHAT HE WAS DOING.nWHY IN THE WORLD DOES MY HUSBAND NEED TO QUESTIONED ABOUT WHY HE IS DRIVING THROUGH KEMP????

Great people our family loves that they are right down the road and they are very respectful friendly
