One of the nicest to assets our community. Helpful and knowledgeable staff. Neat, clean and peaceful.
It was very pleasant. We were doing some genealogy research. The staff were very helpful.
The Marlin Public Library is an excellent place to do research, read a book, study, work on the computer, do geneology work, & volunteer your time. Everything is nicely organized & well kept. There's always someone there who is happy to help you if needed. The children's room is a great place to enjoy time with children of all ages. The separate room allows for some noise & has fun furniture making it an enjoyable experience for little people. Also, on set days & times there's someone scheduled to read to them. The computers are great as well & there's a printer that can be used for a small fee per page. Restrooms are always nice & clean. Great place!!
The Marlin Public Library is one of the few remaining locations in the city which appears to be properly cared for and funded. Although the books are not sorted by genre or topic, nor are they alphabetically sorted whatsoever, there is still an adequate variety of both fiction and non-fiction books at one's disposal. There seems to be a large encyclopedic collection as well as many reference books available for research. The majority of non-fiction books appear to be biographies, memoirs, and personal accounts; the topics of religion, philosophy, science, and history are present, but very scarce in comparison.nnIf you live in Marlin and need some hard research on a topic, or if you're just looking for a good book, I recommend Marlin Public Library for all your literary needs.
It opens at 1230. Which is fine with me
