I was gonna try this school out as well but I think I will try Galen College if Nursing in San Antonio for the RN program it is online and you go to actual. CLass only one day a week up until clinical. And the class is about two hours it is accredited and on the Texas Board of Nursing website the drive is about four hours from Dallas and the pass rate is very high. Thanks for all of the honest comments. I understand trust me I went to Concorde Career College in dallas for VN and I promise it sounds almost like the same experience. I don’t want to go through that again. Thanks but no thanks boo boo!!!ud83dude44ud83dude44ud83dude44

Students are given no guidance in clinicals or in classwork. They ask questions on exams that are not even included in the textbook you are provided with. Yes, nursing school is a lot of self teaching but should come also come with a lot of guidance especially for the money we pay The teachers do not like to be asked questions regarding tests or be questioned on their reasonings for anything in general. The dean blows it off if you go to her, just tells you to try harder, change your study habits. How can you study for something that is not even a part of your textbook? They offer no tutoring and act like it is a nuisance when asked for any! The student success center is offered but all she does is tell you to complete concept maps which does not even go over the information you need help with.

Regret that I could not give it 0 stars. A instructor by the name of Sidhu literally told a group of students that it was ok if we failed the course, it’s good for school revenue. I ignore the reviews about this place, thinking these were just lazy students. I wasted two semesters of financial aid, on classes that won’t transfer. Big mistake I’m not sure what to do now.

Disappointment would be an understatement. From Day one everything has been disorganized and disingenuous. The students have limited access and resources (computers, references, etc) heck we are even monitored for paper usage. No one is given a school email, and that itself is a nuisance.. When students were struggling with a class, the student success lady just gave them a paper to withdraw the program & retake later, instead of providing resources to help them pass. (you know the school looks bad if a student fail, not if they withdraw)The staff is unprofessional and not very knowledgeable. When you have real issues or concerns, staff treats you like a PRESCHOOLER! Literally, the hand you markers and watercolor and want you to draw pictures, and then stuff you with candy........None of which is conducive for the RN program. Dr. Perkins is AMAZING!!!! The fundamental/med surg teacher acts as if she has a personal vendetta against the entire class. (She takes pleasure in failing her students) She is without compassion nor nursing skills. She gives 8+ chapters to read & gives tests on whatever comes to her head. She don't even word the questions with accurate information, So how can you give a right answer? for the skills section, she skips through a you tube video & expect you to follow suit. No hands on demos, just a partial you tube video (when skills are a huge part in what makes you a nurse) The lectures are so horrible I do not want to elaborate. I've been an LVN for 11 plus years and she confuses me.. Please, Please do not ask any questions, because you will automatically be disregarded and shunned. The students arent being prepared for the Kaplan or the NCLEX, we are just lectured on making sacrifices for the school, pressured to give great reviews to keep funding. The only thing that has been consistent at this College, is the automatic payment reminder e-mail. I honestly do not recommend this college to someone who wants to become a nurse and make an impact (because you will not learn a thing) however, if you are already in the field and want to advance, why not its only 18months and 50K.
