Having grown up in the Netherlands I always wondered how the campus dining halls of the major universities in the USA would be. The Commons is an awesome place! It is situated at one of the nicest sites on the Vanderbilt campus and the dining hall has a superb selection of various foods: three different entrees to choose from during lunch in addition to a daily Asian dish (the rice is always very good), selection of 'diner foods', salad bar, an omelette station, sandwich station and a great variety of desserts. I wish we had such dining halls on Dutch University Campuses.

If you like to eat cardboards, come and try out pizzas at commons. If you like to have salt as your sauce, give hotdogs made in commons a chance to win your favor.nCommons has always been the least dinner hall I go to. The meaning of the food here at commons is to get you fed, than to get you fed well.
